We last did a taste test of the Jo Gelatto lubes in our feature The Gelatto Lube Taste Test. As you will learn from reading that, the Gelatto lubes scored very highly. They were some of the best flavored lubes we had ever tasted.

They have adjusted the formula a little, and they now have two new flavors that we had a chance to test- Decandant Double Chocolate and White Chocolate Raspberry Truffle. We gathered a few friends to see what they thought.

Every time we do this I am always amazed at the few who claim that the taste of penis or vagina is just fine for them. Indeed, nothing wrong with that, but where is their spirit of fun and adventure? Pouring flavored stuff on someone else’s body and licking it off is fun.

Of course, the key is that the flavor is actually good, and I think that can be safely said about both of these products. The Decadent Double chocolate is reminiscent of Hershey’s syrup, and very chocolaty. Actual Hershey’s syrup should never be used inside a vagina, but this sugar, paraben and propylene glycol free lube is safe for whatever naughty uses you can come up with.

We only tried it with people who said they liked chocolate. They all said that it tasted just like chocolate syrup. It certainly does to me, and I found it to be quite tasty.

I personally am not a huge fan of white chocolate. I don’t really notice the flavor notes of that so much as I do the raspberry in their White Chocolate Raspberry Truffle. While it is sweet, it is not the overly sweet candy-like raspberry.

I liked the taste of both, but the consensus was a preference for the chocolate. The mistake we made was in having them try the chocolate first and the the white chocolate. It really confused their palates as they were expecting a chocolate flavor. When you have your partner try this, emphasize the raspberry part, as that is the strongest flavor component.

In an incredibly competitive market for lubes, System Jo continues to stand out. They got started in the business as a manufacturer with history with medically oriented products. Their facility is FDA approved for manufacturing medical devices. Their first lube was a private label developed for a group of gynecologists. They know what they are doing. I have talked a number of times to the folks behind Sytem Jo and have found them to be passionate about putting out safe and effective products.
