I have been on a lot of porn sets, and Baby Wipes were pretty standard for quick clean up by the performers. For home use in the bedroom for cleanup after sex, though, Baby Wipes are just not sexy. The mental images they bring of changing diapers and unpleasantly sleepless nights are not conducive for getting in the mood. Nor would you want to use the bathroom Adult Wipes with their unpleasant associations. That is why they have products like Swipes Lovin Wipes.

Swipes come in Unscented and Cucumber. The unscented does have a smell, but it is very light and fairly neutral.

They are made by a woman owned company and they are manufactured in the U.S. They are flushable, septic safe, and biodegradable, unlike many Baby Wipes, even ones that are flushable. Flushable does not mean biodegradable, and these will degrade like toilet paper, although not as quickly.

They don’t have chlorine, alcohol or dyes. They are cruelty free- no animals were forced to have sex and clean themselves up after in order to test them. They are also widely available, not just online and at adult boutiques, but in places like Walgreens, Whole Foods Market, and even Walmart.

This type of before or after sex wipe has been around for years. We have looked at a number of others, but these get some of the highest marks from testers. They are a very well liked product, although one person claimed they “couldn’t recommend Swipes,” but they finished the sentence with “highly enough!” I really have not heard any negative feedback.

You can find them in individual packages for single use. They also come in packs of 42, and they have a seal that really works so that they will stay moist.

While technically you could use them to clean sex toys, there are sex toy cleaners that are anti-bacterial that are designed for the task and will do a much better job.

We gave them the toughest test we could think of- cleanup after using a silicone based lube. These can be difficult to wash off of skin even with soap and water. They got most of it off, enough to feel more comfortable, although not 100%. They did do as well as anything we have tried, though, and were easier to deal with then getting out of bed and hopping in the shower.

Overall, if you think a moistened towelette would be handy by your bedside, these are the ones we would recommend.
