Nude calendars have been around since the early 1900s. The first documented nude calendar was printed in 1913. Throughout the 1900s, most sexy calendars were of the pin-up type. They were often tied in with advertising. The most famous were the calendars from the Pirelli tire company. Beginning in 1964, they were valued giveaways to important Pirelli customers. Discontinued ten years later, they would return again after another ten years. Commercial nude calendars continue to be popular, and they are available from many sources. These include Bud Plant’s Art Books, where you can find a bunch of choices. Vintage Burlesque 2019 has no nudity but does feature cabaret costumes, scantily clad chorus girls and burlesque dancers, including Lili St Cyr, Irma the Body, Gypsy Rose Lee, Syra Marty, Sally Rand, Gina Lollobridgida, and Naja Karamuru. Lingerie by Johnny Crosslin 2019 also has no nudity, but that is sort of the point of a lingerie calendar. Fans of lingerie but not nudity might also enjoy Lingerie Provocative 2019 and Lingerie 2019. If pin-ups are your cup of tea, there are collections featuring Earl Moran, Enoch Bolles, Fritz Willis and Gil Elvgren. You would expect Calendars.com to have a good selection, and they do offer two dozen to choose from. Upon closer inspection though, most are very tame with little in the way of nudity. I do like that you can see larger sample pages, but they are stupidly censored. Even a side shot of a women’s derriere gets pixelated.
Mystique has the largest selection we have found, with 85 calendars to choose from. They offer more nudes than anyone, and their picture preview shows you the back of the calendar uncensored, which typically shows all of the pictures in the calendar which you can view in a magnify mode. The Mystique X-posed calendars have been coming out every year for more than a decade, featuring the women of Mystique magazine fully nude. Other titles include Big Boobs, Best Friends, and Sexy Girls.
The Japanese have their own take on erotic calendars, which are on view on the JList site, where they specialize in Japanese erotica. There are many calendars to choose from. They also have calendars of Anime characters and a calendar devoted to Love Dolls. Their calendars tend to be 23.4 x 16.5 inches.

One of the most controversial calendars this year is Sancta Paraphilia, billed as a homoerotic orthodox wall calendar. It is also the most expensive, with this year’s offering including a premium boxed set. The mixture of religious and homoerotic imagery is intended to make a statement. They have been doing these since 2013.
One of the strangest is The Erotic Carp Calendar 2019. It features sexy unclad women with carp.
Stone Nudes 2019 feature the fine art photography of Dean Fitelman featuring women climbing rocks. He chose a rocky path for calendar subject, and after 20 years of doing these, this is the final edition.
If your heart is gay, and gay erotic art is your cup of tea, you might want to check out the calendar featuring the art of Michael Breyette. Of course, there is also this year’s Tom of Finland Calendar 2019.
Charitably Nude
The use of the nude calendar to raise money for charity exploded after the success of the nude charity calendar in 2000 by the Rylstone Women’s Institute in England. The story of the making of the calendar was made into a successful feature film, Calendar Girls, in 2003.
Since 2009, one of the hottest charity calendars has featured the Warwick Rowers. Featuring members of the Warwick University rowing club in England, it raises money for a number of charities, including one that fights homophobia in sports. The calendar has continued to be an international sensation, featuring young male rowers in prime condition. There is also lots of other interesting content on their site for the appreciators of nude athletic men. The 2018 edition looks to be another hit.
England continues to be the main source of charity nude calendars.
The Hitchin Ladies Rugby Football Club Calendar 2019 raises money for the team. The women are very dedicated to their sport.
Students at Cambridge University raise money for a variety of charities with their Cambridge Blues Naked Calendar 2019.
Of course, creating a calendar featuring naturists is pretty obvious, and they have done it with the Naturist Cleaners 2019 calendar. They are a company that sends naturists to clean your home (assuming you live in Britain).
Glasgow Marrow has their Bare Bums 2019 calendar. It raises money for Anthony Nolan, the UK’s leading blood cancer charity.
Australia also used to do a lot of charity calendars, but like everywhere else, the fad is fading. Bare for Bales is the annual University of Sydney Veterinary Faculty’s nude calendar. This year they are raising money for drought relief.
In the United States, nude charity calendars never caught on as well, and there is very little this year. The Women of Waynesville have their annual WOW Calendar. It features women of all ages and sizes (but all white- this is Waynesville, North Carolina after all). They support a variety of charities.
