We have three bathrooms and each gets their own theme. We bought many sets of black towels, wash cloths, and hand towels. You go through a lot of these at swing parties.
Small rubber bats are hung from fish-line. A bat border made by Scene Setters frames the top of the wall. A large rubber bat hangs from the ceiling.
We try to avoid the really cartoony bats and go with something a little more realistic, but cardboard bats pinned onto the walls would work as well.
Of course, it is always nice to have an additional scare when they close the door. We hung blue towels here as the bat just got lost in the black towels.
Dracula’s Throne Room is decorated with erotic vampire art. Turns out that there is quite a lot of that. Of course, right above the throne we have a picture of Bella Lugosi, from AllPosters.com
Día de Muertos (Day of the Dead)
The Day of the Dead is a big deal here in Los Angeles. This bathroom (the largest) has the traditional Day of the Dead skulls and decorations with their very distinctive looks. They are easy to find here, but other areas may have to order them online.
There is a small room that contains just a toilet. We hang horror movie posters on the walls. When you close the door, there is a picture that is revealed of a guy with blinking eyes. It is only a little scary, as we don’t actually want to scare the crap out of anyone.
