Two stories and more of show space We have two big adult shows in L.A. There is Erotica L.A., and the porn fan based AdultCon. Both are heavy on porn and porn stars, which is not always what couples want to focus on. That is why the owners of the online store Freddy and Eddy, Ian and Alicia Denchasy, created the Love L.A. show for couples. It offered thirty carefully selected merchants with sex toys and sensual and relationship products of interest to couples, and classes for couples organized by Babeland. It was a rainy day, which did impact attendance, but there were still lots of mostly couples in attendance. Unlike at the other shows with the preponderance of single guys, we actually saw more single women, many of them in groups, at this show. It took place in Hollywood at Boulevard 3, a unique nightclub environment with a large room with two stories for vendors and classes, plus a front room where classes and vendors were also located. Every single class we peeked in on had standing room only. The classes included Back Door Basics: Anal Sex taught by Kristen Tribby, Oral Ambitions: Cunnilingus taught by Sarah Tomchesson, Joy Stick Secrets: How to Please Your Man taught by Midori, Kick Start Your Kink: BDSM 101 taught by Shelby Jones and Courtney Cruz, Strap-On Seductions taught by Kristen Tribby and Sarah Tomchesson, The Big O taught by Shelby Jones and Courtney Cruz, Tantric Taster taught by Charu, and Flirting with Fantasy: Erotic Role Playing Games for Couples taught by Midori. All day long they also had Kinky Crafts and the Art of Corsetry. There were three fashion shows throughout the day, as well as a performance by the Sassy Minxx dance group and an aerialist.
Sexy fashions in the show from Syren The major L.A. couple oriented adult stores were there- The Pleasure Chest is an L.A. landmark, having been around for 35 years. The Love Boutique has also been around awhile, with two L.A. locations. The newest arrival is a branch of Babeland, originally from Seattle but with expansions into L.A. and New York. JT's Stockroom is couple friendly for the very kinky couples, as they specialize in fetish and bondage equipment. I did not know until this show that hey also own the fetish fashion boutique Syren. Coco de Mer has a shop in London, and one in L.A. It is a luxury boutique with high quality products for lovers. One of the items that caught my eye was their soy candle made by Jimmy Jane. Soy candles are great because the soy melts at a very low temperature, so you can use it as a warm massage oil. The simple design of adding a lip to their candle is a great idea, making pouring the warm liquid a lot easier.
Jimmy Jane soy candle from Coco de Mer All of us at some point have probably stuffed toys into a nightstand drawer, only to discover that this is a huge mistake, Cords get tangled, vibes get sticky and dirty, and you know it is unsanitary. Devine Toys comes to the rescue with a variety of cases to contain your toys. They have the Devine Toy Box, Condom Cube, Satchel, and French Envelope leather condom pouch. They are covered in satin, faux leather and lace, with a wide variety of colors and patterns to choose from.

A compact that conceals a condom from Just in Case There were lots of toys. bSWISH is a local company that makes well-designed vibrators. We were especially intrigued by the bsoft, a uniquely shaped vibe rounded waterproof vibe with multiple speeds. Jordan Dawes, the creator of Bonkum, a simple but clever device that slides under the mattress to offer overhead support of the legs and the body, was there showing off his system. He always seems to have such a good time doing it. He gets beautiful women to play on his demonstration unit, and a good time is had by all. The system is great for a variety of creative bedroom athletics.

You pick the pattern and the wood, and they custom build it for you. They also have an online video showing the different positions it supports. CBW was there with Bree showing her latest custom corset designs. MXP Photography offered private sensual photography sessions. Dr. Sadie was on hand to sign her books, including her latest, Ride 'em Cowgirl, which took two years of research on sexual positions. You can find her publications at TickleKitty. Sex educators Lori Buckley (a certified sex therapist and licensed psychologist) and Mark Schoen (a certified sex educator with a doctorate and some 50 sexual health films to his credit) were there to promote their seminar on March 29th in Pasadena. It is called Relationship Renovation, and you can learn more about it on Dr. Lori Buckley's site. Embody Tantra had a booth promoting their educational activities, with many seminars in the L.A. area. Planning is in the works for another show, which may even happen before year's end. It fulfills a need and was overall well-handled for a first outing. Erotic University students and SiR journalism supporters can see the complete party galleries here.
